I guess when I was initially setting up this account, I must have copied and pasted the server name from the Rogers IMAP settings on the webpage. While re-reviewing my account settings (again!), I just happened to randomly double-click in my incoming server window - and it was block selecting to the right(?!!?) of my entry for incoming server. I was also receiving an error 3176 from Outlook that was almost completely hidden from normal view (not sure why they do that!!) - anyhow, it prompted me to re-review my account settings (as this error code suggests either Account Settings issue or DNS setting issue) Oh boy - I have found out where my problem was
